We also got a larger media cabinet and built a leaning chalkboard along with adding some overhead lighting. The white vinegar and water in the spray bottle is also a really great all-purpose cleaner (we use it mainly for cleaning windows and mirrors, and it also works to clean stainless steel appliances if you buff it on “with the grain” of the steel). I typically do a 3 parts water and 1 parts vinegar combo in my spray bottle and I’m good to go. Our internet isn’t always reliable (that’s putting it kindly) but we have a pool that we can use year-round and a hangout area with a firepit that we all love for frequent s’mores nights. We have a lot less square footage than we used to have, but it’s easier to clean and more affordable to heat & cool. We have a much smaller yard, but there are parks, green spaces, and playgrounds within walking distance where the kids can run and play.
